I live in a mobile home. The heat comes out of vents in the floor. The carpet has a yellow to brown hue. I have tried carpet shampoo, fiber cleaner, shout, oxiclean, tide, you name it I tried it. Even peroxide. Does anyone know what I can use to get the yellowish brownish color out of the carpet?

Pink Solution. You can get it at Costco. 4 liters is about $40 but the stuff is an all purpose cleaner so will do most things.

I don't have any ideas about how to get the yellowish hue out of the carpet, but is the stained area of carpet near the vents? Have you checked the vents to see if they're dirty? You might have to try to vacuum them out if there's a lot of dust in them.

    Hi Nan,

It's possible that the color of the carpet has been permanently changed due to the heat??? I'm not sure but with all of the things you have tried something should have worked. You didn't mention what color your carpet is in the rest of the room. I have read articles online about people who have dyed their carpet and I even knew a woman that actually did that. Unfortunately, I didn't know her well enough to see if there was any color damage to any wood under the carpet. My guess is that you don't have hardwood under your carpet so i might not be a problem. Here's an article if you'd be interested in dying a carpet. I'd suggest more research before you start though. Wishing you the best.
