How and when do I divide Hostas?

I live in Zone 7 … have I missed the window of opportunity to divide/transplant my hostas?!

Spring is the best time to divide hostas, when they first start coming up. We have done this for over 20 years and have not had any problems.
Spring, Summer, early Fall best times. So they can take hold and root.
