True pergo floors are little strips in pieces of wood laminate it together. To refinish, you have to use a drum sander, belt or hand sander to strip the top finish from the wood. Once this is done use paint or lacquer thinner to wash the dust and particles from the surface . When it is clean and dry then use a high pigment polyurethane sealer to refinish the floor. Allowed to dry 48 hours before walking. Recommend minimum two coats for a better and long-lasting finish
They are plastic laminate on glued wood chips, can only replace.

Specify "redo" as laminate is not like hardwood, you can't sand them down and refinish. You could paint over them. Or just replace with another type of flooring.
