When I had laminate floors, I used Bona products with great success. If all else fails, you can wipe down with acetone to remove any film from previous cleaning products.
Hi thank you so much for the info.Bona products where can you get it.I've never heard of it. Will it bring the shine back? I've never used any harsh chemicals so no build up.But interested in Bona!
Bona is sold at hardware and home improvement centers, some grocery stores carry it, also Wal-Mart and Target. This is the product that was recommended by the manufacturer of the laminate floors I had at the time.
If the laminate has already lost its gloss, the first thing to do is to clean the floor with full strength Murphy’s Soap for Laminates. This will help take off previous cleaners’ wax and other ingredients. Rinse and dry the floor. If the floor is still dull-looking, decide if you want to rent a wax machine or if you want to hand wax and buff the floor, or if you want to, choose another product to try. Hello. When I had laminate I used ammonia and water. It worked well for me.
