How do you make sure the tops of the ornaments will stay closed?

Do the ornaments tops come on and off easily, so after you put the items in the ornament do you hot glue the top back on, or is it not needed? Also, your ornaments would make great gifts too! Thanks for sharing!!!

You need to ask your question on the post that you saw the project. You asked on the general DIY forum and I have no idea what your talking about.

Hi Janet: If these are regular ornaments, the little thing that looks like feet and goes into the bulb should spread out enough to keep the top on when you hang it on the tree. If it slides out, just push the little feet farther apart. The decorative cap should have 2 little holes in it that the feet fit through, and the little circle thing on top is where you put the string to hang the bulb. Just squeeze the feet together a bit and stick them into the bulb and they should spread out inside of the bulb. But, and I think this is what you're asking, if what you want do is to be able to change out the interior of the bulb, do this. If you like it the way you have decorated it and want to keep it that way, then go ahead and glue it on. Hope this helps. Good luck

Janet...Yes, you certainly can glue the top back on!

  • I add a bit of hot glue to keep mine on.
