I recently wanted to brighten up my walls and give my hardwood a new look so I did using chalk paint.

This is my floor before I started with the chalk paint makeover. It was a golden oak and I wanted a change. I figured that I would give chalk paint a try first and if I didn’t like it then I would sand and refinish in the spring when I can open my windows.

This is a side by side showing the golden oak and the first coat of black chalk paint

This is my wall before and after using white / gray chalk paint and distressing it once dry

This is my floor after sanding , distressing and sealing, the finished floor.

Second step of the floor , sanding and distressing certain areas a little Moreno than others

I love what you did with the floors. Do you know if you can paint the veneer hardwood floors?

Amazing transformation. No comparison to the original. Looks like a totally different space.
