Cozy Pumpkins From A Sweater

This past fall I was so into making pumpkins from everything. But these sweater pumpkins are by far my favorites. I really hated putting them up when it was time to decorate for Christmas.
My sweater had a short sleeves. I decided to cut off the sleeves to make them into the pumpkins.
Turn the sleeve right side together. Use embroidery thread and do a running stitch along the bottom. Pull the thread tight and stitch the bottom shut.
Turn the pumpkin right side out. To stuff the pumpkin I use paper from my shredder. To close up the top of the pumpkin, clip the top with a clothespin to hold it shut.
To close up the top of the pumpkin, clip the top with a clothespin to hold it shut. Tie string to the top and start to wrap it around very tightly to form the stem. Dab a little hot glue to the end of the string.
To give the pumpkin a little pizzazz I applied Mod Podge to burlap that has printed leaves. Once it was dry I cut out the shape of the leaves and tacked them onto the stem of the pumpkin.
I love them so much I just may have to get them back out again!
