How do I select the right color flooring and furniture?
I want to use several pieces of Brandt Ranch Oak furniture in the lower level (Leisure Room) of my home. The oak is a warm shade--not dark color. If I use LVT for the flooring should I consider a similar color to the furniture--medium brown or a lighter shade of brown to perhaps lighten the room and to not make the floor and furniture too matchy?

End Grain Cobble Block Wood Tile Flooring
Just wondering what people thought about our end grain wood tile flooring idea. So many different ways to lay out. What's your favorite?
Marilyn hi. I would use a medium brown shade on your floors. I am a designer and most people favor medium colors for flooring . At least that has been my experience . Good luck with your project 😊
You don't want the furniture to get lost in the room. Don't match colors. You want to bring attention to the furniture and accessories, A medium brown will allow that.
I wouldn't match the furniture using a medium color flooring, I would go light. It will brighten the room and not make it feel like a cave in the woods.
I agree with the others, you don't want your furniture to match the floors, you want the furniture to stand out. You can go in the same family, but not an exact match, being in the basement and is probably not a room with a lot of natural light, I would go with a shade that is lighter than the furniture.
