    Hi Denise,

Go to Google and look up "companion plants", these are plants you grow with your plants that naturally repel pests. This really works. An example is growing Marigolds and tomatoes. Best to you.

I have issues with these buggers too. I hear they hate Marigolds so I plant a lot of Marigolds around my raised beds. I also have a recipe for natural pesticide using simple ingredients on my Blogging Group in FB Confessions Of A Seed Thief.

I put have beneficial insects from arbico organics...bugs that eat bugs...lady bugs and praying mantis egg cases can be put based on Amazon as well

I keep the praying mantis egg cases ..each in a separate glass jar with a breathable cover like an old tree shirt or stocking and sit them outside out of the rain or an enclosed pear h, check them daily after the weather warms...1 case yields hundreds of babies and I distribute them on leaves throughout my garden...if you are lucky you will see the mature ones at the end of the season. Other bugs will eat the eggs which is why I protect mine til they hatch

    Hi, Denise,

Check out "https://www.Almanac.com/pest/squash-bugs". It may be due ti improper clean up of your garden, in Fall, or variety of squash you plant.

Garden crop rotation is essential to avoiding pests.
