How do I bring back the finish on my kitchen cabinets?
I have maple cabinets, the finish is light almost like a white wash you can see the wood grain. I cleaned them with murphys soap. It almost looks like the finish has come off, and I still have marks around the knob (fingerprints). Any suggestons?????? Thank you Linda

Make a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. After scrubbing wipe clean then use a wood cleaner that doesn’t require rinsing. I prefer Orange glo. It clean and has a kitchen smell.

Why not use a gel paint- it looks like wood when done
I'm not a fan of Murphy's oil soap. I have found it to leave a film. I'd try just good ole Dawn dish soap to get rid of the film and the fingerprints. Be sure to dry each cabinet door as you go along.
If Murphy's Oil soap sits too long it can remove the finish. You may need to strip remainder, sand lightly, then apply a Marine grade poly or similar sealant using a stain brush and light coats.
