How can I keep my leather sofa and loveseat covers from slipping off?

We have leather furniture and we have quilted covers on them. I have checked online and the only solution that we found was using a rubber mat/carpet mat under the cover...doesn't work very well. There has got to be another solution...would appreciate your help!

I have never found a way, I have four dogs, so my living room furniture is covered with comforters until a time when I have company. I am always readjusting them as the only way I know of to keep them on is to stitch them to the furniture and that would make it very hard to remove them when needed, then restitch them back on each time.

That's the age old problem with leather, slippery and cold. The gripper pad sounds like a good solution. Just don't leave it on too long so it doesn't deteriorate and stick to it ruining the leather

Have you tried sheet straps to hold them they could go under the chairs and come out in front Thelma clip on or go to michaels and get clips like for child’s gloves with elastic and make them

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, but my husband came up with the winning solution for us!!! It is kind of on the same line as kathy miro suggestion, but we did something a little different. We thought of the clips but searched for a heavier item to hold it down. So, after lots of thinking and reading, we used the mitten clips and hooked a door draft stopper. It is heavy enough to hold the cover down, but not too heavy. It worked great for keeping the back side in place...the seat part stays better too, but sometimes we need to re-do that, but no biggie! I call my husband McIver...he always finds a solution for me!
