Their dark brown and in areas held together with staples. They bubble near water areas but we can't afford wood cabinets right now. I've been in bed for 20 months fighting staph.bacteria and yeast. They took my knee out and still don't have one so money is hard to come by. Your help would be appreciated. Thank you, Cheryl

God bless you. It won't be perfect, but you can freshen up with paint. Not much you can do where cabinets have swelled. Hopefully it will buy you some time until you can replace.

Use oil based primer and paint. Latex water-based will make the laminate peel off.

Hi Cheryl! I am truly sorry to hear about your medical problems! I'll say prays for you if you don't mind. Girl... DON'T YOU DARE TRY TO PAINT THOSE CUPBOARDS! DON'T!!! You get your hubby or boyfriend or kids or family or neighbors or anybody to do the painting, but don't you do it! You sit and be the supervisor only, okay?!!! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. (and yes, all you can really do is use oil based primer and oil based paint... you can try to remove the staples, put a cloth over where the staples were, use an iron to smooth the laminate down, then glue the heck out of it... where the laminate has bubbled, you can try using an iron to smooth it back.. if that doesn't work, use a pin to poke holes in the bubbles, then iron it, or use a syringe to shoot glue into the holes made by the needle. if you use an iron, make sure to use a cloth and to iron the cloth)
