Sprinkle baby powder, baking soda or powdered graphite over the squeaky floorboard and work it into the seams. WD40 will stain the wood.
Hello, We sucessfully fixed our annoying kitchen hardwood floor squeak a few week ago using one single screw from a kit like this. The kits are in the big box hardware stores.
The screw is placed in the support below and the screw breaks off. Wax crayon covered the repar. Problem sucessfully solved.
