How can I hang pictures on a cement wall?

I have a cement wall I want to hang pictures on, but it stays cool & will not let anything stick to it. We are not allowed to drill holes & nails will not go into it. Any ideas ??

  • You might consider choosing large scale framed art or photos and then leaning them against the wall. Or you could place them on a console table and then lean them against the wall. Here's an example: https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/387309636696735216/

Have you tried "Command" brand hooks. I have used them in a shower and they have stayed in place for 6 years. They also have an outdoor version.

See if there is a way to put 2 nails or hooks at the top of the wall where it joins the ceiling, spacing them the width of you frame. The holes probably would never be noticed and easily repaired if they were. Screw two eye bolts into the back side of the frame a couple of inches down from the top and then suspend the art work on 2 pieces of braided wire used for hanging pictures. Yes the wire will show. If you don't like the way that would look maybe you would like using a thin figure eight chain to make it look industrial.

I agree with Edie. Command makes products that will attach to cement (I remember from dorm days). Just make sure to check how much weight they hold as the guidelines make a difference.
