How do I repurpose vertical blinds?
I'm replacing all my vertical blinds with curtains, five rooms total.. Any suggestions on how to reuse them or shall I just toss them? Thanks.
Toss.
Contact local schools and ask if art teachers would use them for students to paint on. They make good bookmarks. Secure a bunch together to make a surface for a photo to be glued to. The craft ideas are endless! Put them on Craig's list. Do Something with them, but DON'T TRASH them
Donate to Habitat for Humanity resale stores,Goodwill, local pet shelters that have resale shops never throw out something that some less fortunate person could use. if they are aluminum recycling center will take them. Craigs list One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Take them to your local thrift store. I'm sure they'd be welcomed and reused.
If they are wood, use the slats cut up to make coasters, line trays for a different look. Frame pictures, mirrors etc.
If they are painted metal then cut up and use as garden stakes, write message on with Sharpies.
Their vinyl fabric covered blinds. When I ordered them I could choose what color (solid) I wanted.
Cut up and use to cover cardboard boxes to make storage boxes. Cover top edge with large bias binding, glue it on to finish.
Give the rest away to charity shop. Never toss if they are in good condition.
