You just start in! Once I get started the motivation just takes over!
Hello I understand—- this task can be overwhelming.
I like to start room by room and pack and store items that way. One room a day us less overwhelming.
Take a couple of days to do it if you are finding it strenuous. If you are unhappy about the color disappearing, purchase a nice new colored cushion or something like that to make you feel happy again. If you have a system for storing your items that does make the job much easier.
