Once it's no longer Christmas I remove the obvious- santa, etc. But the snowflakes, pinecones, berry garlands, all look great. This is a great time to head to Target and other stores to take advantage of clearances. I was just at Target last night and everything was 90% off. You'll find cute ornaments and such that will look great on your mantle.
Thanks for your suggestions! My husband was at Dollar General earlier today and mentioned that they have everything reduced. Also, there is a Hobby Lobby nearby as well as a Target and a Dollar Tree. I should be able to find enough items to fashion a "winter" mantle. Happy New Year!
