Milk paint comes in powder and has to be mixed. I like putting mine in a mason jar so I can shake it. Let it sit for a bit to get rid of any bubbles. Milk paint goes on pretty thin, but I love that about it. It chips on shiny surfaces like varnish and lacquer. To control chipping, either add bonding agent or scuff up the surface first before applying. You will need 2-3 coats depending on the color.
For a top coat, I like polycrylic in a matte finish.
