How do I fix this lawn chair?

I have 2 PVC outdoor lounge chairs. They have wide strapping on both. Both chairs strappings broke at the same place. Where the back meets the seat. It was machine sewed initially when bought by manufacturer. Does anyone have an idea that might work to get them to stay together? Besides machine sewing? See below please.
Take to a seamstress or dry cleaners that perform alterations, they will be able to sew back together for you. Take one chair with you so they know how and where to make the seams and add reinforcement if necessary.
