Hi I found this article on DIY Dry Shampoo
https://www.luxyhair.com/blogs/hair-blog/diy-dry-shampoo
Here's some to try need to see which works best for your hair https://wellnessmama.com/3701/homemade-shampoo/ more https://beautymunsta.com/homemade-shampoo-dry-damaged-hair/ another https://www.hairbuddha.net/make-your-own-natural-shampoo-get-soft-and-shiny-hair-at-home/ My hair is down to my tail bone I'm 62 I use regular cheap shampoo directly on head area cool water not hot but always Pantene dry formula or xtra body conditioner(never on scalp) then treat hair and scalp once month slathered on with castor oil wrap head up over night then shampoo out next day,& only do the bottom of your hair from neck down if scalp is already over active/oily. The more you wash your head the more oils scalp produces but leaves rest of hair completely trashed. Maybe only wash top of head in kitchen sink in between. Many benefits of Castor oil https://www.ndtv.com/food/5-castor-oil-benefits-for-skin-and-hair-which-will-convince-you-to-switch-today-1854910 buy first cold pressed it's best get it cheap online(Amazon). Just wait after menopause your skin/scalp will dry out faster than you can put something on it. I live in Az & it's even worse only reason I miss the humidity of the Ohio.Kentucky areas. Olive oil is great for skin as well as the castor oil. put either on after shower while skin is still moist then blot skin dry don't rub try not to use real hot water in shower or bath it removes even more skin oils. Menopause for me really sucked! it was rough
Sprinkling a bit of Cornstarch onto your hair and brushing it out with a natural bristle hairbrush will help between shampoos.
I have hair to the middle of my thighs. I absolutely loathe washing it in the winter months! I agree with Janice, I use cornstarch on a fluffy blush brush, pat it onto my scalp and just brush it out really well, this way I only wash twice a week. As far as some of the other comments go, years ago my hair dresser told me to only shampoo my scalp and only condition my ponytail. Helps keep the scalp less oily and the ends less dry
