Hi Mary. I'm Cindy. The best way and most cost effective way to update your fixtures is by painting them. Begin by turning the water mane off. Then remove the fixtures. Sand them and spray paint them with several light coats of paint made specifically for bathrooms. Allow time to dry between coats. Once dry, return them in the same place that you got them from. The border will require some painting with a small brush, again with paint made for bathrooms, to cover the gold in the border of the shower stall. Mary, good luck with this project.
