How do I make an indoor rock garden with succulents in a box a garden box beside the upstairs fireplace?!
Well since they don’t take a ton of water and don’t need constant watering that should be an ok place. I almost killed mine by trying to water it when it looked poor. So it’s the Best forgotten plant in the house! I would do the planter box and put a bit of potting soil in the bottom. Then put a few smaller pebbles on top of it then the larger rocks on top that way you can mist the plants and they will do well. I definitely wouldn’t use a watering container like the rest. Literally use like a mist spray bottle. Preferably a new one because these guys don’t care for chemicals. Just make sure they can have some type of sunlight. I hope it helps. :/

Better line it with pond liner or you end up with water/moisture damage even if the watering is minimal. Are you using the cacti in picture or succulents? They both need sun light. Might need to switch to shade/low level light tolerant house plants.
You don't. It's a waste and not worth it.
