My kids and I make a Christmas craft every year and give them to extended family when they all come to our house for Christmas dinner.

I saw this idea posted on here and gave it a holiday twist.

We started with a blank canvas (any size works) Painted it to look like the night sky and added glitter to the wet paint for a little sparkle (who doesn't love some sparkle)

Decided where we wanted our tree placed and poked small holes in the canvas where the lights will be pushed through.

Paint in various shades of blue with black and white to mix the color we liked.

Glitter. Lots of glitter.

I had a ton of garland taking up space in my craft room.

We cut the garland into smaller pieces, using the bolt cutter shown, to make and shape the tree.

Picked out various miniature decorations to add

And small sets of battery operated lights.

More of the add on Christmas tree decorations and thin green floral wire.

I used the floral (or craft) wire to attach the tree to the canvas. The thin wire easily pokes through the canvas.

Took the snowflakes off of some decorative picks and glued them on the canvas. Then I took the stems from those picks and glued them on to add some regular trees.

Added some berries taken from other decorative picks and some of the miniature bead garland along with a couple poinsettias

Some snow covering the ground and a small wreath

My little snowmen are pulling double duty hiding the stem of the tree picks.

And here is my finished product!

I think it looks great hanging on the wall.
