DIY Candle Holders From Table Legs

Tall chunky pillar candle holders make a beautiful statement and can hold so much more than candles. However they can be expensive. I found a way to make 3 of my own sturdy wood candle holders using table legs and a little paint. Take a look at how easy these are to make and how you can use them to decorate your home.

Head to a hardware store and start with wood table legs in various sizes. You will also need wood rounds for the top and bottom. I chose to use paper mache rounds for the top of mine but wood works well too.

Paint all the pieces, I used a white chalk paint for a neutral look. Then drill a hold into the center of 1 wood round. Screw in the table leg to create a stand. Then using a strong glue add a wood round to the top of the table leg.

And for around $20 you have 3 beautiful candle holders! I use my on my mantle year round to hold candles, flowers, jars and other decorative items.

Dis you have to do anything extra to get your rounds to be level on the top of the rounded table leg?

Love this idea. I saw some free porch posts on Marketplace. I just have to find someone to cut for me.

Beautiful and clever!!! They look so upscale. Best of all, I love to see women not afraid of using power tools over the hot glue gun. There are just some projects that require power tools if they are to be done right. The candleholders look amazing. 😊
