How do I rid my home of fleas?

My two 4 legged kids have left fleas in the carpet.I have treated the yard and even though I use high quality flea medication year round I am positive there are fleas from the carpet causing havoc for my babies and myself.Does anyone have a home remedy for this problem?

To be sure you really have them try wearing white socks and walk around where you think they might be. Another method is fill a bowl with warm water (with a bit of dishsoap) and aim a light at it. The fleas will be attracted to the light and jump up and land in the soapy water where you will see the brown/black specks floating.
To treat the house consider the flea bomb foggers but be sure to keep everyone outdoors while it does it's job. You might have to do a followup a week or 2 later.

Tractor Supply sells a product called Tempo. It kills fleas, spiders, ants, etc and doesn't harm pets. I found out about it when I was having my house professionally sprayed and noticed he was mixing this up to spray my house. It works better than anything I've ever seen.
