Hello I find that lighter fliud has been excellent aid to remove any kind of sticker and its residue. It’s small tipped applicator applicator bottle is very useful as well as not to overuse a lot of chemicals. Perhaps using this as a soaking solvent buster and then using your depleted gift card or retractable razor will solve your sticky situation.

    I hope this helps

Hi Linda, if the wood is untreated (and you're willing to treat it once you remove the sticker) I would use mineral spirits or acetone. If you're trying to maintain the look of the wood and don't want to damage it in any way I would try goo-b-gone.

Heat the stickers with your blow dryer. It warms the glue so you’ll be able peel them off. Then use goo gone to remove the residue.
