How do I choose the right color red for this room?

I have been in the teal for 10 years! I am ready for a change of colors and also we may sell the house so I want to appeal to buyers with my choice of color. I have a 5 gallon of Behr whitecliff beige I used elsewhere. This paint looks white in a well lit room, not the light tan I expected. The room is 20ft x 15ft with 12ft high at the peak and 8ft on the green panel wall.Would you paint the green panel red?

I would not paint the wall with a color that may turn some people off. You want the house to appeal to as many people as possible, and strong colors have limited appeal. Stay neutral!

For resale, I'd paint it the beige.

Right! Paint it for resell value.

The red maybe a bit too dramatic for some, often best to keep to the neutral side of things, people tend toward the basic and want to add their own touches which will go with their uniqueness. You may want to ask yourself, would I want to buy a house with a red wall?

I would paint it beige for resale. A red wall has gone out of style in homes for sale.

Thankyou! I concur! I can use accent pieces to add color. Watch for my makeover!

Thanks everyone! The teal is gone and I love my new color!
