How do I cover the opening of a removed door?

I have a very small bedroom, converted to an office. I want to install a Murphy bed, but the only place to do this, means the door hits the bed. I would like to remove door, but want something (hanging beads, a slider door) to give privacy when using the bed. Any suggestions?

We removed the door to our ensuite which is actually off a dressing type room rather than our bedroom and have a Victorian style fold up screen to use for privacy if needed - maybe something like that would work for you?

If you need more privacy than a curtain would add, you could consider adding a sliding barn door.

Though you can use Beads, facts are:

As long as Privacy is not a Concern your best bet to Hide a Door is? Create an Illusion it is a Window rather than place a Sliderdooer that becomes a Nuisance.

2 Bamboo Mini-Shade, or Curtains on a Swing-In Curtain Rod or Even a Designer Fabric of your own selection will create a more positive and Seamless means to Enter and Exit and enable you to Modify the Illusion at command.
