How do you put up homemade Roman shades?

My husband has no idea how to attach the Roman Shades to the windows and how to string them. The shade are made with the looos attached to the back

Normally it would have velcro at the top. Fix on to a wooden slat either drilled directly above the window or inside, depending on how big the blind is. Then under the wood fix eyelet screw same distance as string position on blinds. The binds themselves should have little rings fixed at each fold and along the width. If it is small then two across will do, you can add more between these if larger blind. Measure in approximately 2.5 cm from the edges. Fix cord on the bottom only, then tread through the rings, and as you reach the top thread through the ring on the wood. Then through each ring across. Allow the string length to be twice the length and one width of the finished blind. Then do the same with each cord you put in, but the width should be reduced to the measurement between each next eyelet, until you reach the outermost eyelet, the side you would use as the pulley side. Some Roman blind tracks have a click and lock feature you will have to thread the cords through, but if you are not using one of these then use a cleat that you can wind the cord around to lock.
