Hi Marmee, get your clothes iron out, and some pure cotton tea towels. remove as much wax as you can with a plastic scraper and s=discard the wax, heat your iron to medium heat, have someone hold the tea towel over the wax mark and press the iron onto it , check to see if the wax has melted onto the towel, repeat until all the wax is off, launder to tea towels. This works for getting wax off fabric and carpets as well, know this from experience ha ha!
Put a stack of folded paper towels directly on the wax. Apply a hot iron on them to melt and absorb the wax...NO STEAM
I have heard that ice also works.
try putting a terry cloth towel over the wax and ironing the towel. The wax should soak up in the towel. Use a towel you can just toss as it will have the wax on it.
