How do I remove and replace grout in a stand up shower?

What is the best, fastest and easiest way to remove old grout and replace it with new grout in a stand up shower?

    Nothing quick or easy about it. Have to grind or dig out without chipping the tile. Then regrout. I just painted mine with oil based paint. Looks good and cleans great.

  • It’s a process for sure. Either manually with a tool found in the tile department or a rotary tool to grind it out. Be sure to wear a dust mask, eye and ear protection.

    There are tools to take the grout out from between the tiles. Go to your home improvement store, like Home Depot, Menards, or Lowes and talk to one of the associates in tools and they should be able to tell you what works the easiest to remove the grout. I know there are a couple of electric tools you can get bits made to remove grout, but are good for many other jobs, you may already have one and can just get the bits for the job.
