Refreshed Bookcase Decor

Once my family room was repainted, it was time to refresh the bookcase decor! I used art, photographs, books and a variety of accessories to create a layered look with a variety of textures. More details and sources are on the blog!
The goal was to have an interesting look without it seeming too cluttered.
Propping artwork gives you more flexibility than actually hanging it to the back of the bookcase.
The driftwood and corks add rustic texture.
Using silver and other metals and reflective surfaces helps brighten darker corners.
I grouped books according to color to simplify the look.
