Hello Joyce. Try some Dawn dish soap in hot water. You could also use a plastic kitchen scrubber, a dish cleaning brush, a toothbrush to scrub. You may have to repeat washing the cabinets several times to get all the grime off. You can also use vinegar in your hot water with a few teaspoons of olive oil--the olive oil will soften the greasy grime. Amazing that you can use oil to get greasy grime off your cabinets! You can wax them after you get them clean with a wax free or silicone free spray wax product to get the shine back.

I use TSP substitute powder mixed with water in a spray bottle, it handles tough grease super easily.

FORGET THOSE HARSH CLEANERS!!!! I had a cleaning business-- I used ORANGE GLO -- Wood cleaner, restorer. It will clean off all of the built up crap right down to the original varnish WITHOUT hurting/destroying anything. It will clean, "nourish," restore the original luster. On your furniture it will get rid of layers of old wax build, any grime or build up of any kind, and polish at the same time. Spray on, wipe off the grime, leave it alone, or even buff with a clean cloth. It is amaaaaazing! It will do wonders for all of your wood (even paneling), & also helps to eradicate any wet glass stains/water marks on any of your other furniture. You will be thrilled with the results. It works on painted wood too- but test first!. Keep fresh air going- it can be rather intense, but the orange oil essence scent is so energizing. All of your woods/cabinets/furniture/etc. will look brand NEW again! ENJOY!

I also love OrangeGlo but if there is something that won't come off, I mix baking soda & hydrogen peroxide to a paste and scrub with a child's soft toothbrush. Wipe off and hit with OrangeGlo afterwards. On top of that, it smells so great!
