I have always thought there is room for whimsy in the garden. So here is my latest whimsical project. The 'eggs' are actually glass globes from a sixties style light fitting purchased at Salvos op shop and spray painted in Rustoleum stick to anything paint in Nickel. There were 5 globes, here are just three of them on their 'nest' of sticks. Did think about buying a basket to put them in but the sticks seemed more natural such as a ground dwelling bird might put together. The metal bird made from an old metal electric drill was a purchase from a garden/brick a brack store in Katoomba. The bird is small in proportion to the eggs but isn't that all party of whimsy!? I thought the metallic looking eggs suited the metal bird.

Here are the light fitting globes before spray painting. They fit over the light bulb on the ceiling light. Before spray painting them, I wiped them over with a soft cloth and some rubbing alcohol to clean them. Then applied several thin coats to the outside of the globes.
