Color, Color, Color! On the walls, in the towels, on shelves, in a shower curtain, on the floor, in accessories. Choose a theme if you like that idea and go from there.

Thank you that is the problem our bathroom is very beige. I do need a splash of color. But I am afraid of making a mistake.

    Hi Carol,

Look for freebies you can use on Craigslist, visit flea markets or second hand stores, go to dollar stores. Some areas have Re Stores from Habitat for Humanity, they have low end prices on new and used items.

If you have a theme in mind that would be helpful, such as a beach or a rustic look. Some folks like to use pallets to cover walls, they can be given to you by stores (please ask first) or for a low price.

Yes - thrift store are great for getting things without spending a lot of money. They can be replaced after you decide what you want to do.

The best way to choose color that you are comfortable with is to look in your closet. Most of the colors in my closet are pastels as I feel most comfortable wearing them. That translates to the rooms in my home - soft colors. Others like edgy colors and can feel comfortable with them in their home. Hard to make a mistake that way.
