How can I redo my floors inexpensively?
I need ideas on inexpensive and easy flooring over concrete. Can’t wait to rip out all the carpeting in my house. Please help me!
Sheet vinyl is probably the easiest and least expensive. You may have to patch the concrete because a lot of times carpet tack strips are used and they put holes in the concrete.
Even easier is solid vinyl wood look strips. They look great and you can do it yourself. Buy the thickest ones you can get for more insulation.
Water proof laminate, or LVT is luxury vinyl tile that looks like wood.
Or engineered hardwood can go over concrete.
3/4 hardwood cannot since concrete is porous.
Or the cheapest way is sheet vinyl. Put the extra expense there is floor leveling.
HI Ella - We recently remodeled our kitchen floor and used cork! Here's the transformation and more information about cork flooring. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

We ripped up the ceramic tiles and placed it over the old vinyl flooring.
After pulling up the carpeting you can stain or paint and use large area rugs.
