The key to any weed removal is get rid of them before they go to seed. A blower with vacuum would be best to suck up all the little burs on ground so they do not reproduce into new plants & burn the seeds. If plants are /have gone to seed already try to contain the seeds while removing the plants. The more you knock off the more plants will grow.Put lrg garbage bag over plant then cut it off at base.If the plants are in growing stage(earlier is best)spray them with Round-Up use concentrate you mix add food coloring to dye it so you know where you have sprayed,do not spray in wind,wear gloves,do not get in wet solution,follow safety instructions. Spray leaves of plant, it is then absorbed into leaves into plant then root system killing plant.
