How do I replace my shower and flooring?

My floor needs replaced the shower has leaked for a while now and needs to be replaced and the tub surround never was installed, so the backer board needs replaced also. Help tight budget . not affraid to get dirty , just want to do it right without breaking the bank

This really does sound like a job that requires professionals. You very likely have mold issues and possibly rot in the studs. The fix will probably not be cheap if they do it right but you absolutely do not want someone to just make it look good but leave you with a rotten floor and potentially deadly mold in your walls. One option if you are on a tight budget would be to have a contractor get the water issue and that damage all fixed and then you do the paint, tile, etc.
