How do I find a reliable bathroom fitter?

Define a budget. Have at least an idea of what you want, be able to make decisions quickly and interview at least 3 licensed contractors before deciding which one to choose. Everything needs to be scheduled. Contractors work multiple jobs at the same time. While you are waiting your turn, that is when you should be mulling over finishes, paint colors, tile options, faucet styles, hardware, flooring, etc. Here is how to hire a contractor.

Yes, I agree , with what the other person said. , know your budget !!!! And ask around , neighbors , friends and family can tell you recommendation s or more importantly, who to stay away from !!!! I thought I did my research on who I hired to do my bathroom . I had my tub pulled out and replaced with a walk in shower. I checked reviews , I checked BBB , I found them through home advisor , that also gave them a great review . Well I definitely know we overpaid , but the product does have a great warranty , but still feel rushed into it , by the sales person, to take advantage of the current sale... If you hear that , run !!! I don't like being pressured into anything , I know better and should have listened to my gut feeling. That said , I did my due diligence , with research and went for it. It was a 2 day process and it looked beautiful !!! Until we used it , and it flooded my bathroom !!! Then started my 10 month saga to get it working right. I will say that they kept on coming out to try to remedy the situation. They didn't avoid my calls or give me a hard time , but it took way too to get it fixed. Even after 7 months they ripped it out and installed a new one , it still leaked , not as bad as the first one , but still not acceptable. After 10 months they finally fixed it with a simple solution. Please !!! Ask around!!! Find someone who is recommended by someone you know !!!!!!!!!!

Check in your area on "Home Advisor" or Angie's List. If you don't get the correct slope for the drain, you will always have issues. Smaller tiles on a floor mean more grout and less liklihood of slipping. A Bathfitter system is seamless, with no grout lines to keep clean.

Inquire about one with built in or fold down seating and multiple grab bars, mounted into wall studs.

A low or no threshold shower makes entry and exit much easier.
