How/what can I plant in a limited to no irrigation shaded area?

I help maintain HOA common grounds with some areas having no irrigation. What would be good plants, bushes to plant in these areas? A lot of area is partial-full shade, some areas are partial sun-full sun.

What is your zone? Start with a search for xeriscape plants, thenwhittle down to your zone and exposure.
Ferns is another suggestion, or a pretty rock bed if want low maintenance
