I would use XIM Bonding Primer, apply two coats and then paint whatever paint you would like, create a stenciled design and have fun - then seal with BenMoore Stays Clear!!! You should probably re-top coat every year for maintenance :)
Here is a floor that I did - wasn't linoleum - but this could be an inspiration: https://www.artisticpaintingstudio.com/blog/studio-floor-project/
Hi Darlyn! I can tell you how to paint linoleum flooring with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint! :)
It is super easy to paint with Dixie Belle:
Step one: Clean with White Lightning
Step two: Sand with fine sandpaper
Step three: Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint
Step four: Use Gator Hide for a water-resistant finish
I'm attaching before and after photos so you can see the outcome.
Here is a link to a blog on our website that explains in better detail the step-by-step process with photos! https://dixiebellepaint.com/blog/dixiebellepaint/painting-on-linoleum-floors-with-dixie-belle-paint/
