Can you cover them with beadboard ? Or actually , they would probably be great for

Removable wallpaper ! There are many sites that sell this , in so many prints or plain or textured styles. Look at these...wallsneedlove.com , tempaper.com , artiswalls.com. Or scuff the walls with a sanding sponge , use primer then paint .

    Good luck !

Paint or Crackle Paint or Paint with Texture Additive always works and selects best as dependent on preexistent condition of the panels you are painting. If they are old like mine (that I expect to get to sometime this year) you may prefer texture or crackle. If they are smooth or smoothable with a Fine Grit Sandpaper you can go with Eggshell or Glossy Paint. It will need to be oil based or acrylic. I have seen nightmares from persons putting water based paint in the Shower Room.

Also, keep in mind that removing a Panel can often reveal a Place that is suitable for a small shelf or inset shadowbox, stained glass, clock, paint by number art or other decor you might prefer as: a shelf for candles and bath salts.
