Making Wood Farmhouse Signs Using a Silhouette Cameo

We have a log home builder a few miles down the road from our home and they discard scrap pieces of pine into a bin that is free for the taking. Last week I drove by to see if there were any usable pieces. There were, so I grabbed a few. I wanted to make them into signs.
I started out painting a couple of the boards black. Then, using my Silhouette Cameo I created vinyl stencils for the lettering. Once the black paint was dry, I stuck the vinyl letters onto my boards and painted over them with white paint.
After the white paint was dry, I peeled the vinyl letters off, which revealed my design in black.
I distressed each sign by hand sanding them and rubbing an antique glaze over them.
Then I put eyelet rings into each end of the top of the signs and twisted wire around them to create a hanger.
To finish them off, I tied a piece of hand torn homepsun fabric around the wire to make a bow.
