How do I repair soles on leather boots?
I bought great leather boots TH. Soles are cracking. Repair shop wants $50-+ think I could do it for a lot less. How?

Try Amazon - search shoe sole repair. You may find what you are looking for but depending on the cost of the boots, you may be better off paying a professional.

It would be worth the fifty to have it done right and last. Some soles are stitched, some are glued, you would have to get the sole cut perfect and match the other sole. You will then have to reattach the sole and the heel correctly. You would need to find the same material the soles are made of. By the time you get what you need and do the work yourself, you probably would be wearing the boots if done by a pro. Some things can be DIY, but others really should be handled by pros to ensure a good job done. They worked for years to be able to do their job well under another person for training.
