What's the finish coat, latex or oil based? What do you mean, not even?
it's latex the coat does not go on even it's streaking have to put it on 3 4 times in order to have an even coat on it so it's all the same
I used Heirloom Traditions all in one paint made particularly for kitchen cabinets. It contains both primer and finish along with the paint, and you only need one coat. It turned out very well. You may have to sand a bit if you've got an irregular finish due to previous efforts. I'm assuming you have degreased before you painted previously; if not, do that before you paint. One coat covered very well, but my cabinets had not been . previously painted. You can add polyurethane on top for extra protection. Best wishes.
