How do I get lighting under bottom cabinets to shine on flooring?

I have always wanted under cabinet lighting I have cherry cabinet and beautiful wood flooring.What types of lighting is best? I know they sale rope lighting but how do I start and stop around appliances? Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Lillie a friend of mine picked up remote control lights that look amazing for her kitchen. They're called "Wireless Puck Lights" if you do a search on Amazon. You can buy a pack of six round lights and you can literally put them anywhere and use the remote to turn them on or off. I'm thinking about getting them for my kitchen too!
