Is it surface runoff or under ground build up/saturation? add trenches with/without gravel around house to direct water flow where you want it to go;underground water (water retained/built up in soil)add french drains around house. If it's ground water you need a french drain either on the inside or outside along the bottom of the foundation. Inside it would empty into a sump pit and be pumped out. Outside it would be diverted away from the home.
