You can spray paint
it a rust color, or bronze or chalk paint it white.
Rustoleum spray paint for metal. Scuff the surface with a green kitchen scrubby. Several light coats of paint will get you a smooth finish.
High heat paint to go from chrome to a different finish. Add wood around the base.
