Don’t use them at all. I don’t like the idea of cooking in plastic.
It can be a pain to wash but it’s doable.
I am with you Judy! The thought of cooking in plastic is just very unappetizing to me. Plus it just can't be healthy. ❤
Pat, plastic has dangerous chemicals in it, especially when heated. As your food cooks, it's getting permeated with the chemicals. As Judy said, don't use the bags. What I do is immediately after I remove the food I set the cooker in the sink with soapy water in it. After the meal is over it's so easy to wash and rinse it out.
We love them!
What we also use are oven turkey roaster bags, get them cheaper after the holidays.
They withstand crockpot temps very well. If they are too tall cut them back.
Our crockpot separates into a metal base and a ceramic pot, I cut them so they do not contact the super hot base.
