How can we get rid of raccoons in our attic?

We have raccoons in our attic. We blocked the opening with heavy mesh and they tie off the soffit & still got in. How can we get rid of them?

You may have to call critter ridders. They set traps, remove the animals then set them free.
Sorry I am not your neighbor. Racoons love me and I could coax them out for you for free.
Call an exterminator. Not as expensive as you might think.
Once the exterminator has removed them, you need to install very heavy duty "Hardware Cloth" wire mesh -fold over the edges for reinforcement, and secure it well using screws for masonry or metal.
